In 2003, with an eye toward expanding its showcase of Vermont artists, the Guild doubled its retail space and added a gallery room called The Backroom Gallery for special exhibits. Since then the Backroom Gallery has hosted one-person and collaborative shows by many of Vermont’s finest artists. These special shows are well publicized in area newspapers, community calendars and via the Guild’s email and postal mailing lists. To promote each show the Northeast Kingdom Artisans Guild hosts an artist’s reception for the general public, and works with each artist to gain public attention.  Gallery shows run for approximately 6 weeks.
